I was able to watch the sun quite literally rise above the horizon, a blaring inferno of light that drenched everything in orange, while flying south to Washington DC this morning. I’ve never felt so small in my own body as I did in this moment of seeing and understanding the real distance between our earth and the star that gives us life. There is something brilliant about that realization.

In a way it inspires more willpower and determination within me. There is nothing I can’t do on this planet, and in many ways I owe it to myself to achieve those goals. Otherwise my small role in the universe is even more meaningless.

Nothing is holding me back from what I want, and no matter what the outcome there will always be a new day to experience and another sunrise to appreciate.

Good morning, world.
