YouTube Analytics infographic, detailing all you need to know about YouTube’s new replacement to the Insight platform.
I think the thing I’m most excited about is being able to see which specific videos brought in the most subscribers. That’s a powerful tool that will allow content creators the ability to tailor their videos even further, and show them what kind of niche audience they have. Very cool!
YouTube has had a closed beta test of scheduled releases for a while now. In short, when uploading a video (I was included in the small group of partners who tested the feature) I could choose when the video would debut, or appear in my subscribers home page. Until then the video would be in a special private-mode, holding the content until it was scheduled to be released. I had the opportunity to add annotations, edit details, change my custom thumbnail, etc without having to worry about viewers seeing my changes as they happened.
Today YouTube allowed all U.S. partners (content creators in the YouTube Partnership Program) acces to this feature, and it’s getting rave reviews already across Twitter. Here’s a look at the system!
This is what U.S. partners will now see on their upload page:

You can choose the traditional “Public,” “Unlisted” and “Private” options, or choose a specific time the video should debut:

When you choose a custom debut, you can specify a date and certain time of day too:

The option is only available as a sub-menu of the “Public” option. If you choose Unlisted or Private, you’re on your own for publicizing it on time. BUT BE WARNED, the clock starts ticking on your video as soon as it finished uploading. If you wait too long, the video will drop down in subscription boxes and potentially get viewed less.

Once your video is finished uploading/processing, you’ll see an un-editable dialogue box on the upload page that tells you when the video is set to debut.

If you navigate to the Edit Video page for that video you’ll now see an easy-to-change set of dropdowns that will allow you to choose a different debut time.

Hope you enjoyed this quick rundown! :)
