There are two proposed legislations in U.S. Congress - the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House of Representatives, and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate - that, if passed, will harm the free, open Internet.
Today we black out the Internet in protest, to raise awareness and demonstrate what it would be like if the web were needlessly censored.
